Services & Approaches
Services
I provide individual, virtual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and young adults.
Below are some of the areas I specialize in; however, everyone’s struggles are unique and don't always fit neatly into a category. If you don’t see what you’re struggling with, reach out anyway.
-
Anxiety is more than everyday worry. It can show up as persistent fear, racing thoughts, physical tension, or an overwhelming sense that something is wrong. Therapy can help you understand your anxiety, challenge unhelpful patterns, and build tools to feel calmer and more in control.
-
Depression can make even small tasks feel impossible, draining your energy, motivation, and sense of hope. Whether it feels like sadness, emptiness, or just going through the motions, therapy offers a space to process what you're experiencing and find a path forward.
-
Change, even positive change, can be overwhelming. Whether you're navigating a new school, a loss, a breakup, or a major life shift, therapy can help you process uncertainty, find your footing, and move forward with confidence.
-
Relationships with family, friends, or peers can be a major source of stress and pain. Therapy can help you understand your patterns, improve communication, set healthy boundaries, and build more fulfilling connections.
-
Living with chronic pain or illness affects not just your body, but your mental and emotional well-being too. Therapy can help you cope with the grief, frustration, and identity shifts that often come with a chronic diagnosis and build resilience for the road ahead.
-
When stress becomes chronic, it affects your sleep, concentration, mood, and overall health. Therapy helps you identify your stressors, develop practical coping strategies, and create space to breathe and reset.
-
Academic pressure is about more than grades. It can show up as procrastination, perfectionism, burnout, or a constant fear of falling short. Therapy can help you manage expectations, build healthier study habits, and find a sense of balance that doesn't come at the cost of your well-being.
-
ADHD can affect focus, organization, emotional regulation, and self-esteem, often in ways that aren't immediately obvious. Therapy provides support in understanding how your brain works, developing personalized strategies, and building confidence in your day-to-day life.
I use an integrative approach to therapy that draws from multiple evidence-based therapies to best meet each client's unique needs. This means that sessions are thoughtfully tailored to your personality, goals, and what's most helpful for you at any given stage of the process.
Therapeutic Approaches
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
DBT focuses on building practical skills in four key areas: emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. It's especially helpful for navigating intense emotions and improving relationships with yourself and others.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS is a gentle, compassionate approach that views the mind as made up of different "parts" — each with its own feelings, beliefs, and roles. By getting to know these parts with curiosity rather than judgment, clients develop a stronger, more grounded sense of self.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT helps clients build psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and emotions rather than fighting them. Through this approach, we identify personal values and take meaningful action toward the life you want, even when things feel hard.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT)
TF-CBT is an evidence-based approach designed to help children and adolescents process and recover from traumatic experiences. It combines cognitive and behavioural skills with trauma-sensitive techniques and often involves caregivers as an important part of the healing process.
